National HSEQ Manager

As the National HSEQ Manager, reporting into the CEO, you will play a crucial role in shaping our safety and quality functions, working closely with the leadership team and contractors to cultivate a strong safety culture, ensure compliance and drive optimal practices within our growing business.

This is a newly created role and  you will have the opportunity to make it your own.

The responsibilities;

  • Set up WH&S framework for the group, including refining current WH&S management system and software
  • Develop risk management framework
  • Provide training, coaching and mentoring practices
  • Conduct onsite audits and prepare board reporting regularly on findings
  • Ensure ongoing WH&S compliance and update policies and practices as required
  • Handle all escalations for the group
  • Provide HSEQ advice to ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
  • Develop, lead, and manage hazard identification, risk assessment, and effective control systems.
  • Oversee contractor management framework to ensure effective risk management.
  • Develop, manage and oversee safety training, incident investigations, and ‘Safety First’ initiatives

To be considered;

  • Construction industry background- minimum 3-5 years in a similiar role
  • Tertiary qualified in WH&S- minimum Cert IV in WH&S
  • Trade qualification preferred but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of National Construction Code, Building Regulations, Australian Standards is desirable.
  • Quality/Safety Lead Internal Auditor and ICAM Lead Incident Investigation ( desirable.)
  • Quality management system experience (advantageous).
  • Drivers license and ability to travel interstate as required.
