What You’ll Do:

  •  Ensuring that all sites run smoothly, safely, efficiently on budget and to schedule
  •  Troubleshoot issues and ensure minimal disruption to progress and timelines are being met, including weather events, supplier issues and labour shortages
  •  Conduct regular toolbox talks and liaise with HSEQ Manager on site safety
  •  Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety , systems and quality of work
  •  Report financials, forecasting and ensure day to day invoicing is correct and on time, track project expenditure
  •  Allocate/modify resources both with subcontractors and materials as needed
  •  Ensure contracts are accurate and timelines achievable
  •  Site inspections and quality control
  •  Progress reports, client updates, lead meetings and communicate effectively
  •  Represent company as key stakeholders within the project delivery

What you need:

  •  Licensing/Registration- A valid commercial and residential builder’s license essential
  •  Tertiary Qualified: A degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related preferred
  •  Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role with Certificate IV in Building and Construction
  •  Experience managing large-scale projects, particularly in commercial, residential
  •  Proven experience leading and managing teams of workers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
  •  Understanding of workplace safety regulations (e.g., Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act, Australian standards for construction sites).
  •  Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, materials, and building codes.
  •  Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, netsuite, prime an advantage )
  •  Understanding of Australian standard contracts, including managing scope, time, cost, and quality of the work.
  •  Understanding of green building principles and sustainable construction practices, such as waste reduction, energy efficiency, and eco-friendly materials.
  •  Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing circumstances.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  •  A valid driver’s license
  •  Clear police check
  •  Team player with a can do attitude
